Bluebell Frog is an 8" x 10" limited edition print.
This silkscreen print celebrates the first signs of spring: a green treefrog vase with a fresh sprig of bluebells blooming from pink to blue. Both species are Virginia natives that can be found up and down the eastern states of the US. During rainy nights, treefrogs will call loudly to one another with a nasal, bell-like sound (up to 75 times a minute!). To capture the range of color in bluebell petals, this print features a special process called split fountain where multiple colors are pulled at the same time. This creates a gradient effect so each print has unique coloration.
